Every Journey Needs Protection

Happy Thursday!

Reader,

In every new journey, it’s important to chart your course, to know where you want to go and have a plan to get there.

There are a lot of moving parts for content creators in the 21st century. Even if you are “just” writing a book, a large part of being a writer today is the dissemination, and that usually means social media platforms, newsletters, and websites.

Maybe you’re saying, “I just want to write.” Completely understandable.

But as I shared last week in my update, “Defense Against Digital Dark Arts,” unless you’re writing with paper and pen, a writer still has to be cautious about about digital security because with the relentless assault of AI companies for unique and sound words … if you write them, you are at risk of being hacked. It doesn’t matter how small you think your reach is, there are systems seeking out those originators.

And to be honest, if you’re ID’d as a good writter, even writing in a notebook isn’t safe. (I’ve had people go through my physical notes more than once.)

Protection Through Documentation

This week’s livestream is going to cover the importance of documentation and how you can protect both yourself and your work. If weird things and “glitches” start happening to you, your accounts, and your devices, this will give you a place to begin in mounting your defense.

I hope you can join me for part 2 in “Defense Against Digital Dark Arts.”

Join me for the latest updated in "Hacked: the Saga," on "You Can't Outrun What You Won't Let Go | Bound by What We Won't Release"

The livestream will be at 6:00 pm EST / 5:00 pm CST / 3:00 pm PST on Thursday, January 15th. I hope you can join me.

Blessings,
